Most of the attendees will be spending the night in one of two places. Moorings
are still available at the yacht club in Marion at a cost of $40 per night and include
launch service. For those who prefer anchoring, boats will be rafting up off of
Gleason Beach in Wareham. Both locations are about the same distance from the races.
Two of the shore events will be at the Gleason Beach and two will be at the yacht
club, so there is no advantage to either choice as far as attending the events.
To reserve a mooring, call the Beverly Yacht Club at 508-748-0540. Ask to speak
with Sam Demello (Waterfront Supervisor). Tell him you are attending the Corsair
Nationals and need a mooring for what ever nights you need. If he is not there,
leave a message that you are calling about a mooring for the Corsair Nationals and
he will call you back. The best times to call are 9 am to 3 pm.
The anchoring group will be rafted up at the Gleason beach in about 4 feet of water
(at low tide). There should be enough dinghies around that getting into shore without
swimming should not be a problem. Swimming in is not a problem either. For further
information regarding the Gleason Beach anchorage, contact The Multihull Source
at 508-295-0095.
